Rory has an innate ability to "read" his pupils and tailor his teaching style to their learning styles. Rory has been teaching two of our sons for 16 months. Neither of them had ever had a music/piano lesson before meeting him. Each of them has an hour-long lesson once a week and neither of them has ever asked to skip a lesson, not even on school holidays. Our youngest son (currently 9 years old) asked to start lessons with Rory after witnessing Rory teach his older brother; we did not imagine at the time that he would sit still for an entire hour, nor did we envisage that he would insist on continuing lessons even while sporting a cast on his broken left arm for six weeks.

Through Rory's teaching, our other son (currently 13 years old) has discovered in himself a rare talent for the piano. Rory has helped him develop his natural gift and go from an absolute beginner to a promising pianist in a very short space of time.
